BREAKING: Messi To Miss Argentina’s Upcoming World Cup Qualifying Games

Inter Miami’s Lionel Messi is expected to miss Argentina’s upcoming World Cup Qualifying games this month.

The former Barcelona man was initially included in the Argentine national team squad as the current champions seek to qualify for the the next tournament in North America.

Inter Miami manager, Javier Mascherano had previously rested Messi due to load management following compacted fixtures in January. The 37-year-old featured in three games in a span for seven days for the Miami side.

Lionel Messi reportedly suffered a sore left tigh during Inter Miami’s 2-1 win against Atlanta United on Sunday.

The Argentine national team confirmed the reports that the eight time ballon d’or winner will be unavailable for upcoming World Cup Qualifying games after picking up a muscle injury during the weekend.

The 37-year-old will miss upcoming games against Brazil and Uruguay on March 21 and 25th respectively. Inter Miami fans remain hopeful that he would be available for their next game against Philadelphia Union on March 29th.
