It is bad news for Arsenal fans as the club confirms that defender Gabriel Magalhaes will be out for the rest of the season after sustaining a hamstring injury on Tuesday.
Gabriel went down early in the game against Fulham after feeling some discomfort in his hamstring forcing Mikel Arteta to substitute the 27-year-old.
According to the club’s statement today, the Brazilian defender will undergo a surgical repair procedure to his hamstring in the coming days.
Gabriel will be sidelined for the rest of the season but will immediately begin his recovery and rehabilitation programme immediately after his surgery and will be available for the Gunners again at the beginning of the new season.
