Real Madrid To Face Barcelona In Copa del Rey Final

Real Madrid and Barcelona will officially meet in this year’s Copa del Rey final after both clubs progressed this midweek.

Last night Barcelona beat Atletico Madrid 1-0 at the Wanda Metropolitano, progressing to the final on a 5-4 aggregate win, following a 4-4 draw in the first leg.

Real Madrid on Tuesday was the first team to book their place in the first after a 4-4 draw with Real Soceidad was enough to see them through. A 1-0 away win in the first leg did the magic for Los Blancos.

This becomes the first time that Real Madrid and Barcelona will meet in the Copa del Rey final since 2014 when Real Madrid beat the Catalan Giants 2-1 to win the trophy.

Barcelona and Real Madrid have meet twice so far this season. The Catalan Giants beat Los Blancos 4-0 during their first meeting at the Santiago Bernabeu in October 2024 and beat them again 5-2 in the Supercopa de Espana in January 2025.

Real Madrid will face Barcelona for the third time in the Copa del Rey final on April 26th and later again in the returning leg of the Laliga in May.
