UEFA Clears Rudiger And Others For Arsenal Clash

Real Madrid players Antonio Rudiger, Dani Ceballos, Vinicius Junior and Kylian Mbappe have all escaped ban from their upcoming Champions League Quarterfinals clash with Arsenal.

The Real Madrid players were investigated on indecent post match celebration after knocking out local rivals, Atletico Madrid out of the Champions League on penalties in the Round of 16.

Defender Antonio Rudiger was seen making a gesture of cutting his throat towards the Atletico Madrid fans while forward Kylian Mbappe was seen grabbing his crotch towards the Atletico Madrid fans too.

When UEFA announced the launch of an investigation into the Madrid players’ celebration, there were multiple fears from Madrid fans of a possible ban that could weaken the club ahead of their game with Arsenal next week.

The findings of UEFA’s investigation were published on Friday and saw Ceballos fined €20,000, Mbappe was fined €30,000, while Rudiger was fined €40,000 for violating the rules of decent conduct.

Brazilian winger Vinicius Junior was cleared of all allegations from the night and had no charges brought against him.

According to Sky Sports, Mbappe and Rudiger were also handed a one match warning ban, but these bans have been suspended for a year, and will not be activated without a repeat offence.
